is last trip was the first part of December and he went to Hawaii. What a great time he had. Thanksgiving this year was just our little family. However we did carry on the tradition of getting our feast from the local grocery store. We did this a couple of years ago when we were in Branson Missouri over this holiday. I will say is is much better when you mom cooks it. Christmas was a wonderful yet different time of year. My sister joined us for the festivities. We went and saw the lights while eating small candy canes, we cooked together in my tiny kitchen and we skyped the folks on Christmas eve. On Christmas day we enjoyed the routine of getting up and ready for the day before we got to the gifts. We did the gifts then ate the traditional egg souffle that has been prepared for years by the dutiful hands of our mother. Then it was off to the stockings. WhaFriday, January 2, 2009

It started with the great family tradition of traveling together to many different locations and enjoying the learning and the fun.(If you know my family those 2 always go together.) Then it was time for the mission call for my wonderful parents. And who would have guessed Novosabirsk Russia.
Not me, but I will take it and so did they. It was off to the MTC for
them in June and what a wonderful time. Sara then spent the rest of the summer in Georgia wi
th her grandparents and cousins. She had a great time and she grew up a lot while she was there. Makhail learned a lot of new skills with swimming to basketball. What a fun kid to watch. Chris and I celebrated our 12 anniversary this past year, wow how the time flies. The girls started a new year of school. Sara in the 5th grade and Mak in the 1st grade. They each have the best teacher. I started to working at the school and am loving the new roll that I have. Chris was able to do some traveling for his work. H

t a blast Santa is so good. He know just what was right for each person. We had a glorious day. When it was time for dinner it could have only been better with the company of the rest of our family. We did however SKYPE with them all at different times that evening. Know it is the New Year 2009, what will it bring... who knows but I am looking forward to all of the new journeys it holds. May the Lord keep and bless you all. Enjoy your families and hold them close.
