These are the original counter tops. Our NEW counter tops.
Well we did it. It has taken a lot of talking, research and patience in saving up. About three weeks ago we went to TL customs to talk to them about new counter tops for our kitchen. I was very set on getting quarts in a dark color. Every thing else would be worked out. In my mind it was clear ground erect pool. (a family joke) How ever after talking with them and setting up an appointment for the temp later to come I was very excited. Chris took this bull by the horns and was busy with all the appointment setting. I just helped with reminding him of other obligations. He decided that to save some money on this project we would take out the old counter tops ourselves. This I would have paid someone to do. It was easy at first and then we got to the sink. Well lets just say it could have been cemented to the original counter. It took us a good 2 hours to get it undone. After that was finished we laid the counters back on so that I could have a kitchen for the next week. On Friday the 18th at 12:00 noon they showed up. I was so excited to have this done. the night before Chris and I took the old counter tops out to the front. In came the new quarts counters. We were also able to under mount our original sink. That was a huge savings. It took them about 2 hours to complete this project. It looks wonderful. Chris had to hook up the plumbing again and know after waiting 48 hours I can use the sink again. I just love the new counters. It helps this place feel like our home. The next project is to paint the main level.
