The 4th of July

What a fun day. It was very laid back. We woke up at around 9:00am and realized that we missed the scout breakfast. We then did a few things around the house. We set up the new kiddie pool and Makhail had a blast in it. I was able to stick my feet in it to cool off from the summer heat. We had our own Bar B Que with rib eye steaks and baked potato's. Makhail had hot dogs which are one of her favorite things. Later we did what meager fireworks we had this year. They included sparklers, smoke bombs, and snaps. Makhail lit her first fireworks this year and she did a great job. No injuries. We were able to watch our neighbors let us watch their fountains. We live in such a great place. Sara is having her 4th in Georgia and was able to spend it with Aunt Connie and her family. They were going to swim and have a ton of fun. We sure miss her and the joy she brings to our family. After we were ready for bed we went to Makhails room and where able to see the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire however we had to view them from through the tree. It was a great time and one to reflect what a wonderful country we live in, for the freedoms that we have and for the sacrifice that was made for us. Hope you all had a great fourth.
