Happy Halloween

I know that if I don't get this done tonight the witches and goblins will haunt me. It all started on the 28Th. We had our ward Halloween Party. It was great. The girls were so happy to wear their costumes before the big day. We had dinner and then there were games to play for the kids. Okay I am glad it was for them. It was eat a donut off the string, bobbing for apples, and here is the best the licorice spit. You spit a piece of licorice done the line and see how far you get it. Then you go and pick it up and eat it. I couldn't watch, all the drool. Nasty gross. Then it was off down the hall ways to trunk or treat. It was fun for the kids. It was the begging of the haul of candy. Know it is the real day. The kids couldn't wear all of their costumes to school so they had to take them in a bag. After lunch they all got dressed up and here we go.... It was a parade around the school one class picking up the next and so forth until all were in a line, then off to the gym for the singing of Halloween songs. After that it was back to the classrooms for the parties. I stayed and helped with Sara's class. Oh my, how hyper can 27 kids be.....YIKES HELP ME... They were so loud and crazy. the party was a blast and the kids loved it. After school and 4H we had a quick bite to eat and then it was off for the ritual of begging for candy. It was a nice warm year, no need to cover up the costumes with winter coats. That always makes me feel better about the cost of the costumes. Sara this year wore her dad's vampire cape and had the best time making scary noises. Makhail was a witch with a hat and broom. She had a tough time with the tights, I think they were a size to small. But she had a bast, that is until the last 15 minutes. She was DONE!!! It started with trying to go home with our friends, then to sitting on the curb, to finally crying until she was held and loved. Sara didn't want to quit. However the great pumpkin had spoken and we went home. Next came the ritual of sorting through the candy, checking it and now that Sara has braces changing out the candy that she can't have for ones that she can. The great pumpkins are glad for this day and glad that it is over. HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!(and happy sugar coma to your kids.)
