The Trip Of A Life Time

What a wonderful week. Chris and I were invited to go to Prague in the Czech Republic to spend time with my parents on one of their Visa trips. We also met up with my Brother and his Wife. It was a whirl wind of activities. There is so much to see and take in that you cannot do this place in just one week. The feelings are all over the place from awe to sadness to thrilling. I am so glad that I had this chance to go to Prague. It truly is a trip of a life time. Thank you Mom and Dad for this adventure.

A street shot of the farmers market. It is on one side and the other is full of souvenirs. It is a one stop shop.

This is a fruit stand in Prague. The fruit is so fresh and boy does it taste wonderful. Especially after a long day of walking around town.

The court yard of the art museum in Dresden. It is very peaceful.

My parents on the train coming back from Dresden Germany. My dad and I have this tradition of taking each others picture at the same time. I think it is fun.

This is the Cathedral that is located in the middle of Prague Castle. It is the one that the royal families used and know their President uses.

We went to an art museum and were able to see this original painting from the artist Raphael. If you look close at the angels on the bottom you can see that they are the ones that are use often on cards and other love items.

The Freiberg Temple in east Germany. We took the train there and had a great family day. What a wonderful time to spend with your family a temple in another country. We are so blessed to have as many temples as we do and so close. Those that use this one travel for days.

Prague Castle is huge. And that is putting it mildly. It we really cool to be there when their President was there. No we did not get to see him but just to know that he could look out the window and see us if he wanted to was really neat.

The front of the Cathedral in Prague Castle. I loved the doors. Everything has so much detail.

A birds eye view of the Old Town Square.

We took a night boat ride up the river. They have made locks. Also we saw an old water wheel. They told us that this town can be any town you want it to be, that is why they make so many movies in Prague.

I would have to say that the Jewish Quarter was my favorite place to be. In a town full of tourists and hustle and bustle of life, stepping into this part of town there is such a peace and reverence. In the old synagogue they have written the names of those that were taken during WW2 and they have their birth date and their last known living date. It is truly a place of love and grief.

We could not take photos in this synagogue, but I loved the door and the peace that it brought to me.

Prague Castle and its cathedral from the Charles Bridge. What an awe inspiring view.

The Tyn Cathedral we could see from our apartment window. I learned that the buildings that you see right in front are literally connected to its facade. They started out as wood shelters to cover the beggars and they grew into what you see.

We went to the Estates Theater. This is important because Mozart loved Prague so much that he debut a lot of his music in this theater.
