This will be short and sweet. I had a visit with my dad last night and we got talking about September 11Th and what we think could be done with the sight of the twin towers. At first I thought that a nice park with a memorial wall would be good. And then as we talked and I listened to my wise father, it sounded much better. As with Joseph Smith when he was on a farm and then was taken out and beat on and tared, for the rest of that Saturday night Emma stayed up taking the tar off. The next morning was Sunday and as he was preaching to the congregation he saw some of the same men who had hurt him the night before. Joseph went on with his life as if this previous event had not taken place. As we talked about this I then asked my Dad would he rebuild? He answered with a very firm YES! Bigger and better. I would not let them win by showing that we are afraid. It would be saying to them without words, UP YOURS! As he was telling me his point of view the scripture came to me "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind." I love the idea of not being afraid. I will always remember September 11Th and I will not let them win.

To Have No Fear!

To think that anything I have to say is important to anyone else or alters their thinking is a very powerful thing. It reminds me that I, as everyone, should be careful with my words and be sure I am building with my words and not taking down. Thank you for considering my thoughts as worth something. Me, too. No fear here. Fear and faith cannot coexist. We need to work on being a righteous people and continue to be on the Lord's team, then nothing can hurt us.
