Another Year

Happy Birthday.

Makhail has just turned 8. What a big step. She is such a cutie. We love her very much and are so glad that she is in our family.

On to the party. This was one of the funnest times. Mak loves to cook. So that was the theme of her whole day. The party started with everyone getting dressed up in an apron and chef hat. What a blast all of the kids loved it. While we waited for all to arrive they watched Ratatouille.

The next event of the day was to make their own pizza. Okay not the whole thing but they put on the sauce and the toppings. They all had a great time and loved to eat what they had made.

While the pizza's where cooking they played a game where they put on a blind fold and had to scoop marshmallows into another bowl. They laughed the whole time.

After lunch was consumed they made fruit loop necklaces. Know I thought this would be too young for them but they had a blast. Making all sorts of different patterns and eating them.
Singing Happy Birthday came next with the chance to decorate their own cupcakes. Boy was that a sugar fest. I didn't know that much frosting and sprinkles could fit on one cupcake. But it is all about fun and did they have that. Mak then opened her gift and what a polite young lady we have she said thank you to every one. When they left she handed them each a goodie bag that ad candy and her favorite recipe in it while being tied off with a cookie cutter.

The best part was when every one was gone Mak came running to me with open arms and said, "Mom this was the best birthday ever!" It brought a tear to my eye. What a fun day. And one well deserved.
