The Memories Flowers Bring

What a great day it was. I went to the store to just get a few things and there they were as if to say "What about us?" So as my mother always has insisted they "leapt into my cart" and off we were. Upon arriving home I was so excited that I rushed to put away the rest of my things and headed for the front yard. Here I am ready for the wonderful feeling of dirt under my nails and the ground beneath my knees.
I started over on the left side of my front door. Know these flowers have special meaning to me. Geraniums are one of the main flowers my mother plants in her front yard in neatly arranged pots. I have always loved them and enjoyed seeing them as I left and arrived home.

The next area was under the bay window on the right side of the front door. I enjoyed the mothers day flowers that I received from my parents this year and then I proceeded to plant three of the most unique flowers that I have seen. They are called Columbine. I have 2 yellow and one red. They remind me of how individual we are in this world. There are so many people, yet not one is completely alike.

Finally off to the garden. One of my favorite things. These memories are mixed. I remember as a child have the chore of weeding 0r picking the berries(boy did they hurt). I hated every minute of it. But with that hatred grew a love of the earth and the many bounties it provides us. I remember the lessons of hot to make compost and how deep to plant the seeds. I enjoy the harvest even though it my hurt I am blessed with wonderful food for me and my family. I have grown to understand the joy that my Father gets from his abundant garden. I love all these lessons and hope to share them with my children.

Thanks for the look at your flowers and garden. You are doing sooo well at the gardening. Yes, there is a lesson in gardening; you reap what you sow or don't weed. Thanks for the insight. Love you much.
