My Birthday

I am such a kid when it comes to my birthday. Here is how it all went down. On Thursday the 5Th of June the girls and I went to the airport to pick up the newly set apart Elder and Sister Simmons. (also known as Elder Doug and Sister Cindy) We ran some errands for them and then it was time to just hang out at home. The next morning it was get up early and drive real fast so that we could get it all in. We had to take Sara to summer school, then it was to the bank for a notary to sign a paper. Then we went to Costco to pick up my cakes, this really put a smile on my face. We ate lunch which was my parents LAST Costco dog. We then came home to drop off the cakes. Next it was off to get my dad a hair cut and while that was going on my mom found that she needed 2 new pairs of shoes from Sister Missionary Mall. We next hit Toys R Us for the purchase of a new Telescope. This is the coolest thing ever. Then no day would be complete without a stop at Wal-Mart. We got a few things there. It was time to get back home and by know it was 4:15pm and the party is at 6:00pm. It was a quick unload of the car, get the party set up and get myself looking presentable. While this is all going on Sister Cindy is making pico de gallo. Could this be any more like home. The party started promptly at 6:00pm. It was the best. We all hung out in the front yard while all the kids loaded up on cake. All I could do was smile. I have some of the best friends in the world. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The next party was on Sunday, the real birthday. After church my mom made my favorite meal. Lemon Chicken, mashed potatoes, green salad, and york shire pudding (German pancakes). Also for dessert we had the best chocolate cake that was made for me by a lady in my ward. However the best part of it all was to have my family with me. Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy Birthday Trisha! I'm so sorry we couldn't make it after all. We had sick kids; and I'm such a dork, I didn't even call you. I am so sorry. Sounds like it was fun, though.

Sounds like your birthday was great! Just the mention of yorkshire pudding takes me back to our days in Rexburg :) I haven't been very good with keeping in touch with people, but happy belated birthday!
